Basics:

New features in 1.5 update!

Released on 1/11/12, the new 1.5 update introduced the following new features: Goal Book, Badges, and Multiple searches. With the Goal Book, you can now see more than just two goals at a time. Open your goal book to be able to pick and choose which goal you want to complete and see them neatly organized in one place. Badges are also a great way to show off your accomplishments. Complete the achievements and try to earn them all! Finally, now you can search for more than one pet at a time. This will help speed up the searching process and reunite families even quicker! Enjoy!


Pet Rooms

pets are an essential part of Tiny Pets and let's face it, you love them! You can find them by selecting the 'build' button and then selecting 'Pets' Once there, find the pet you desire and click on it! You will then be able to place your new friend in the Tree House! When your new pet has a 'coin icon' over it's room, tap it. Once the coins have been collected, you will also be able to 'feed' the hungry pet by tapping it again!


Entertainment Rooms

Your pets don't want to be stuck in one room all day! Let them stretch out by building Entertainment Rooms! Here they can meet and play with one another, and there are even some Entertainment Room that have awesome mini-games for you to play! Every game has three difficulty settings, and will earn you coins for success! You can pick up one of these entertainment rooms within the build shop.

Construction

When you purchase a room for your Tree House, it's your job to construct it! There are two stages to constructing your purchased rooms. First, tap on the room for stage one to 'start building!' Remember, each stage will take some time to complete so don't forget to start stage two to complete construction! Once complete, your new room will be ready to use!

Crew

Crew monkeys will help everything run smoothly in your Tree House. You can only have so many pet rooms before you will need to hire extra help! Pick up another fun crew monkey by visiting the 'build' area and selecting crew!

Album

The Album is an area in the game where you can admire your cute pets! Each time you purchase a pet, you will unlock it's entry in the album. Each time you add to a family, the kids will appear in the album as well. Besides viewing the cute pets, you can also learn the pet's story and facts!

Missing Pets Bureau

The Missing Pets Bureau helps reunite pets with their loved ones. To reunite pets, tap the 'search' button. You may then select the pet you wish to search for. When you begin the search for the missing pet you will be taken to the map screen. On the map screen you can send a search party to each of the tiles on the map, but it takes time to search per try, and you can only search one tile per try. Don't worry though, your search tries will refill after the indicated time, so that you can try a different map tile. When the pet is found, you can place them in your Tree House with it's loved one! Reuniting each loved one will earn you more coins from each pet room. Don't forget though, if you don't return in time after a pet being found then the pet may be lost again, so hurry back!

Bakery

Build a Bakery to start making cookies for your pets! The Cookies are used to train your pets to do new skills. You can start baking by opening tapping on 'build' and then selecting bakeries. Your baking skills are about to be placed to the test! Once your bakery is built, you can spend coins to make as many cookies as you'd like. The more cookies you have, the more skills you can train your pets. You can learn more about the training process below. Mmm, your pets are sure to love these delicious cookies, so be sure to keep on baking!

Training Room

Once you have cookies, you can start training your pets. Pick a pet you'd like to teach a new skill to and tap on their home. You'll see a new pop-up that allows you to either search for their family or start training. Tap on 'train' to enter the Training Room. Here you'll find everything you need to train your pets! You'll be able to see what type of skill is being taught in the top right corner of the screen. Below the Training Room, you'll see a progress bar and how many cookies it will cost you to teach your pet that skill. Tap on 'train' to start the process. The amount of cookies will be deducted and your progress bar will increase. With each level, you'll earn more coins!

Expansions

Expansions will become necessary as each of your pet's families grow! You can expand your tree house in three different directions (Up, Left, Right). To expand, visit the 'build' area and select the expansions button. Here you can select which direction you want to expand your tree in. Tap 'expand' and watch your tree grow! Keep in mind, it make take some time for your tree to expand but don't worry, you have the option to expand instantly!

Purchasing/Decorating

The build button in the lower left corner is your entry way to lots of great decorations and items to make your Tree House beautiful! There are multiple options including pet rooms, entertainment rooms, crew, expansions, decorations, and move! These are all essential areas for your game! When purchasing any item, select the one you want and then find a good area to place it in your tree. When the item highlights green, it is ok to place it there. Tap accept to make the placement final!

Tiny Social

Tiny Social is a great way to interact with your friends in Tiny Pets and all of TinyCo's games! If you don't have any friends who play Tiny Pets, no problem! Find ones that do in the Community section of Social. You will need to create a Tiny ID and select your avatar to get started. To add friends to your Social profile, go to the tab that says "invite." Here you can either type in your friend's Tiny ID or connect to Facebook and add all friends with Tiny Pets.

Gaining XP

XP is important because this is your source for leveling up in the game. More importantly, as you level up, you gain access to more pets and rooms. Gaining XP can be done a few ways. When feeding your pets, you will be rewarded XP! Face it, pets have to eat so why not make them happy and give yourself something as well. Also, cleaning the entertainment rooms will add to your XP. You don't want your pets playing somewhere filthy!


Earning Coins and Acorns

Coins and Acorns make your Tree House go round! Without it you wouldn't be able to build new pet rooms or decorate your fabulous tree. You can get acorns for your game by purchasing them at the top of your screen. Coins can be earned a variety of ways however! Coins can be collected from your pets and by cleaning entertainment rooms too. Keep in mind there is always the option to purchase coins at the top of the screen if you need more.


Picking Fruits and Toys

What a delight! Your Tree House will collect fruits and toys over time! Tap on them to earn coins and clear it from your tree!

Device Issues
I just got a new device and my game is gone. How do I get it back?
No worries, you can get your game to the new device! You will need your old and new UDID information! To locate this information, simply visit the link here: UDID Instructions. If you don't have the old UDID, just let us know the old Tiny ID and new UDID. You will need to contact us with the following information by just sending in a support email to support and let us know you need to transfer your game with the information provided!
Currency/Billing
I just bought some acorns and coins but didn't receive them. How do I get them?
If you have purchased acorns or coins and don't see them in your game, don't panic! Try restarting your device, then running the app again and leaving it open for a minute. Sometimes it can take a little while for the system to credit and give you your currency! If you still haven’t received your currency in about an hour or so, contact us and let us know.
I didn't mean to purchase acorns/coins! How do I get a refund?
In order to get a refund, you'll need to contact Apple Customer Support, because the transaction was completed through the iTunes Store. They can be reached at http://bit.ly/aQ5Wx. Apple actually doesn't give us access to your billing or credit card information, so we're unable to provide you a refund directly.
How do I prevent accidental purchases in the future?
In the future, if you go to "Settings" > "General" > "Restrictions" on your iPod Touch, you'll be able to enter a pin number that prevents any unauthorized real-money purchases inside iPod applications. Remember, Tiny Pets is a free game, but there are premium purchases available for those who wish to buy them.
How do I earn more acorns and coins for free?
Currently, you can only earn coins for free by leveling up, collecting from pets, and cleaning their rooms!
Goals
Why can't I complete one of my goals?
If you are having trouble completing one of your goals, you may need to scroll down in the objective box to see the final task. Once the final task is completed, you can move on to the next goal.
Why are my goals asking me to purchase items I already have?
Goals are the same for every user and some may have items the goals ask for while others may not. If you do, you may purchase the item again to achieve the goal.
Why am I no longer seeing fruits and toys in my tree house?
If you are no longer seeing fruits and toys in your tree house, you may need to update to our latest version of the game to correct the issue. The fruits and toys will normally reappear after a few minutes!
Pets
I accidentally deleted an pet! How do I get it back?
If you have accidentally deleted a pet or any item, unfortunately there isn't a way for us to recover it or make any changes within the game.
I already have a pet, but how do I complete a home?
You must search for that pet's loved ones using the Missing Pets Bureau. To search for loved ones, simply tap the search button on the main game screen. Once in the Missing Pets Bureau screen select a missing pet to search for. You may also tap on the pet's room, and tap the 'search now' button on the popup.
I completed a home. How do I view the Album?
To view a pet's album you can tap the album button on the main game screen, and then search for the pet in the album screen.
Bakery and Training
Why am I not receiving my coins for training my pet?
Once you level up, you will receive the bonus amount of coins the next time you collect from your pets. You will not receive the extra coins right away. Be sure to feed and collect from your pets to see your reward for training your pet!
I already have a pet, but how do I complete a home?
You must search for that pet's loved ones using the Missing Pets Bureau. To search for loved ones, simply tap the search button on the main game screen. Once in the Missing Pets Bureau screen select a missing pet to search for. You may also tap on the pet's room, and tap the 'search now' button on the popup.
I completed a home. How do I view the Album?
To view a pet's album you can tap the album button on the main game screen, and then search for the pet in the album screen.
Moving/Decorations/Items/Expansions
How do I move a room or an item?
Go to the build area and tap the Move button. Tap on the room or item you wish to move and drag it to where you want to place it. Tap Accept when you're done.
How do connectors work?
Select the type of Connector you want (rope, wood, etc.) and place the first piece where you want it in your Tree House. Add the second piece in what direction you want the Connector to start going (top, bottom, left, or right.) If you want a corner connector, just place another path in the new direction you want the connector to go and it will change into that piece.
How do I store my pets and items?
Tap on 'Build' and then 'Move.' From there, find the pet or item you wish to store. Tap on that it and choose the bottom 'Store' option. Your pet or item is now safely stored in your Inventory. If you wish to access it again or place it back in your Tree House, tap on 'Build' and then 'Inventory' to find your stored item.
Where do I find items to decorate my tree house with?
Decoration items can be found by visiting the build screen, selecting decorations, and then scrolling through to find what you'd like!
I've ran out of room in my tree house! How do I make it bigger?
You can make your Tree House bigger to fit all of your pets by going to the build screen and selecting expansions. Just purchase an expansion to make the Tree House bigger!
I am trying to place an item in my tree house but it won't let me. Why?
When placing items in your Tree House, be sure that nothing is blocking the item. The item will be highlighted green when available to place but if it is red, something may be in the way. Things like connectors and decoration generally do this as items cannot be placed over them.
Tiny Social
How do I add friends?
You can add friends by visiting Tiny Social and going to the invite tab. Type in a friend's Tiny ID to add them! If you don't know anyone who plays Tiny Pets, no problem! Just visit the community tab, find a user, and add their Tiny ID instead!
How do I tip my friends?
You can tip your friends by visiting Tiny Social, selecting the Friends tab, and then visiting your friend's tree house. Once there, simply tap on the tip jar to leave a tip!
How do I take a photo of my tree house?
We do not support taking photos currently within Tiny Pets. You can however take a screen print of your devices screen by simultaneously pressing the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button on your device. Your image will be found within the Photos app of your device.
